The NJ inside route part two

Our flotilla left Atlantic City with good notes on our route and continued to snake northward reading out our depths to the other boats.  The wind probably kept some of the holiday weekend boaters home but by the afternoon the boat traffic was picking up.  We saw people fishing on either side of the channel STANDING next to their boats.

This shot will keep you up at night, can you imagine being stuck outside the mark !

Had a lot of time to look at the waterfront homes and the birds, it was a long day to Manasquan and the Point Pleasant Canal was a surprise and really nice to go through.

Which brings us to Hoffmans Marina, truly a marina of last resort.   But it is a windy holiday weekend and the Loop is an Adventure not a vacation.  Loopers give this place a wide berth the air raid siren from the constant commuter train is the least of your problems here.

Hi Brian & Ellen! Just wanted to say Hi and let you know how happy I am for you guys. Just knowing you’re out there on that adventure makes my day. My mom and dad and Brooke all say hello.

Marlene and I have a saying for experiences like your Marina/train whistle experience.
    “At least we’re makin’ memories”

Wow. I didn’t think depth was such an ongoing problem! That’s usually the focus of us sailboaters! Love the pics and appreciate the updates! We are getting ready to race Marrakesh up to Stockton this weekend. Hope to be at Fig for July 4th. You will be missed!
