Boca Chita; an oasis off the Miami coast

The day started out with a flock of cormorants surrounding the boat as we were in the way of their flight plan (Ellen calls this a compy invasion and loved it).  We had a beautiful run including a peaceful ride through Adam’s cut, what a difference from the first time we came through on a weekend.

I just love the waterside tiki bar vibe here.

We had a great day and we could see the lovely light house before we got into Boca Chita.  This is a beautiful spot, a spotless park, absolutely idyllic.

An amazing place to relax for the afternoon before the big run through Miami  which we did to the soundtrack to Miami Vice, naturally!

Some coasties practicing rescues maybe?

Each balcony has a hammock chair!

The cruise ships and container ships were very close and had police boat escorts with flashing lights.   Miami waterfront looked like lots of fun but we kept going.

What I liked about this mega yacht is that he has a mega yacht garage boat that follows with all the toys

What a way to spend the day !  We saw a lot of big boats and big homes. Happy to have made it through with only minimal wake experiences from the fast Miami boaters.
