It took us 12 days to travel from Pickwick Lake, Tennessee to Mobile Bay, Alabama.
We had to go through 12 locks; some days we did one lock, some days three or more. We spent way to much time worrying about “how to Lock”, yes, there are a couple tricks but once you’ve done a few, it’s not hard.
The locks are amazing and instilled a sense of wonderment that I’ll never forget. Each lock designed the same but are a bit different. Some are big, some are gigantic ! The Lockmaster at each lock was always slightly different than the one before.
