We arrived at beautiful Jekyll Island and immediately took advantage of the free golf cart to see what this island had for us to see. WOW! The beaches are beautiful, the entire island is so clean.
There are also oyster beds everywhere in Georgia.
The next day we got the bikes down. This island is the most bike friendly place we have seen (and believe me that is saying a lot – Florida takes their outside activities very seriously). We biked over the marshes on wooden bridges and through the historic district on winding cement paths.
We took the bikes to the beach and rode on the sand. The trail to the beach included a path through the “jungle” – so beautiful.
The Restaurant/laundry/showers/bathrooms was within sight of the boat, just a beautiful marina. Later, we met up with Loopers from Calypso and Adventure Awaits (soon to go gold!).
We just love the Jekyll Harbor Marina (staff) and all of Jekyll Island – Gorgeous!!
