Yes, since our last blog, we have visited Tarpon Springs TWICE. Both times we stayed at the City Marina – we love being right in town. The bar next door plays great music. We watched them grappling for patio furniture that had been tossed in the water while we BBQed shrimp practically bought from the boat.
We spent a day with Mark, always a wonderful tour guide. xoxo
So, as things do on boats, our dates have slid a bit. The weekend came and went and we waited for the bow thruster which was sent to Clearwater to be fixed. We got the boat hauled out at a great yard, and then – – Rain
So our two day stay in a great little tough shed (I kid you not) turned into a week.
But Tarpon Springs is a great town with great restaurants. (Looper tip: the photos below are from L to R, Mama’s, Jo Jo’s, Toula’s – you’re welcome).
Then, we increased our touring and provisioning grounds by getting folding bikes.
The sun came out, the boat was painted and we came back to the city dock to wait out the gale wind warnings. Brian, of course, had to check to make sure everything was done right.
It was definitely windy!!! And COLD (apologies to everyone but it IS cold in Florida also) But Sue and Tom came to have lunch and walk the sponge docks with us. A lovely day!!!
What’s the itinerary for the next leg? Things are mild and dry here in northern California. But no rain in sight. Don’t you need a boat cat?
Glad to hear from you! I hear the weather down there is cold, unusually so. Hope all is good with the boat and look forward to more adventures!
We loved our visit with you!! Thanks for the great tour of Perfect Choice and the soap docks of Tarpon Springs!
