We left early to get around the point to Deltaville but it was a bit choppy so we decided to anchor along the way. We made it as far as Mobjack Bay (New Point Comfort Lighthouse). We hear this can be quite the swimming place on a hot day, but it was overcast today. Brian did some exploring at the beach and lighthouse.
We left in the morning to anchor in beautiful Fisher Bay. When the waves got up, we moved below, then Brian drove through two foot waves and the occasional three foot set until we ducked into an anchorage in Fisher Bay, which is so protected the yacht club had regattas on Saturday and Sunday.
I am absolutely in love with these boat house carriage doors. We had a beautiful sunset and decided to stay another night even though we had planned on Deltaville in order to provision among other things. The weather was beautiful and so was the anchorage so we stayed.
There are alot of Jelly Fish in the summer in the Chesapeake. I like the name “Stinging Nettles” better. We spoke to a local who was getting his Nettle Net ready for his kids to swim.
We don’t want to leave but we are just going a few miles around the point to Deltaville Marina
